  • Quessy Otter Tail Cherry

    $120.00

A design which hasn’t changed in centuries, this deepwater ottertail will allow maximum leverage on the water. A long, thin blade is as efficient and can cut through the water without withdrawing it, an excellent paddle for rudder strokes both in solo use or from the stern when steering. The elongated shape allows for advanced strokes to be delivered with ease and is perfect to learn “knife-edge” paddle strokes.

Cherry has a very tight grain giving great durability and resistance to rot (compared to most other hardwoods), and the paddle also has a varnished finish to provide even greater longevity.

  • Quessy Paddle Junior Aspen Beaver T

    $24.99

  • Quessy Promo Paddle Aspen 6″ w/ Resin Tip

    $42.98

A square tipped paddle, well suited for beginners in a variety of water conditions, the Quessy Aspen is a wooden canoe paddle with a comfortable pear shaped grip at the top. With a varnished finish and an inlaid resin tip the Aspen paddle is extremely hard wearing and will hold up well to catching rocks on the tip (usually the area which suffers most wear and tear). Aspen wood offers excellent strength to weight ratio and makes for a lightweight paddle which is stiff and durable. The rectangular blade excels on mixed depth water and can be used comfortably on everything from casual days out through to tripping on multi-day paddles. Wooden paddles are popular because they are usually lighter and warmer in your hands than plastic or alloy counterparts. As a result they have a nicer feel to the paddle. Available in a range of lengths the Aspen is a great entry wooden canoe paddle.
